This year over 1000 exhibitors from over 30 countries are expected to participate in the show. The event is organized by UBM Asia, a leading exhibition organizer in Asia and in the USA with headquarters in Hong Kong. UBM stands for United Business Media Ltd, a London Stock Exchange listed company.

According to the Director of jewellery fairs of UBM Asia, Celine Lau , the global economic downturn has speeded up the entry into fast growing markets such as China that remain resilient. The close proximity of Hong Kong to China can easily enable plans of penetrating Chinese markets by international jewelers. “In order to stay afloat during turbulent times, jewelers should take part in quality international fairs which is an excellent platform to showcase their products to the world.” Lau added.

This year there will be a Hong Kong Premier Pavillion which will feature 40 premier Hong Kong exhibitors. Other value added services at this pavillion include an internet cafe, a business center and a concierge service.

The June fair is held at the same time with Asia’s Fashion Jewelry and Accessories Fair (AFJ). AFJ will be held at the Asia World Expo. Buyers visiting the jewellery fair can enjoy free access to AFJ. This will give them a rare opportunity of attending two prestigious fairs in one visit. A free continuous luxury shuttle bus service between the two venues will be provided by the organizers for all exhibitors and visitors.
