Consumer Price Index Up 1% for Jewelry in June

In the USA, consumer price index (CPI) for jewelry edged up nearly 1% in June. according to statistics provided by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).

The reference point for this index is the average prices in 1986 which is set at 100 points. The index for June rose 0.9% higher (Watch and Jewellery category) to 147.6 points. The index which topped 150 points for 17 consecutive months had not touched 150 points since Feb 1998, prior to its current run.
