Richard Lennox, the U.S director in charge of the De Beers account has resigned.
This was made public by Rosemarie Ryan the president of JWT North America.
JWT is the fourth largest advertising agency in the world. Lennox headed the JWT team that successfully carried out the marketing campaings of De Beers which included the Journey Diamond Jewelry, Three Stone Jewelry, Right Hand Ring and the Millennium Campaign.
According to Rapaport News Stephen Lussier of De Beers in London said “Richard has made an unbelievable contribution to the whole industry. Through JWT, he has created powerful ideas that have excited consumers and driven growth in the trade.”
Lennox has been in this post for the past ten years and will be leaving on July 24th. After his departure the De Beers account at the JWT will be managed by the existing management team. Lisa Cochin, Emmy Kondo, Sally Morrison and Colby Shergalis will continue on, supervising the De Beers account at JWT.
