India’s First ever Diamond and Colored Gemstone Show

The Gem and Jewellery Exports Promotion Council (GJEPC) is organizing two shows in August 2009.

The first show which will be held from August 4-5 2009, is the  first ever India Diamond and Coloured Stone Show (IDCS) 2009. The main aim of this show is to showcase the manufacturing skills of Indian diamond and colored stone companies. India is the leading supplier of  cut and polished diamonds and colored stones  such as tanzanite, rubies and emeralds. The venue of the IDCS is the Hotel Renaissance Powai Mumbai. IDCS is also expected to a business to business (B2B) show where one can make new contacts, trade partnerships and meet face to face with the right people.

Immediately after the IDCS 2009, the 26th India International Jewellery Show 2009 (IIJS) will be held from 6th to 10th August 2009. The venue of the IIJS is NSE Complex, Goregaon. The IIJS will have over 1500 booths and around 650 exhibitors from India and overseas. This is the fifth largest jewellery show worldwide and the second largest in Asia. Last year the 25th IIJS show attracted over 30,000 buyers and US$ 757 million in business during the 5 day show.

The GJEPC is also providing airport pick up and shuttle sevice from the hotel to the exhibition.
