Indian Diamond Companies Awarded by the GJEPC

According to the National Jeweler two Indian companies were recognized for excellence in the areas of human resources and exporting.

India’s Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) has awarded Sanghavi Diamonds for the biggest importer of cut and polished diamonds into the United States for the fiscal year 2008-2009.

Sanghavi Diamonds had received the award for the 4th consecutive year.

The GJEPC award ceremony is scheduled to take place in October in Jaipur India. Nitin Jobanputra, President of Sanghavi Diamonds inc in New York is expected to receive the award.

In a press release Jobanputra said “In this unprecedented year of events and challenges, I would like to say ‘thanks’ to those who have supported us,”

Shree Ramkrishna Export (SRE), an Indian diamond manufacturer was ranked 14th on the list of the top 25 companies with the best human resources practices in India. This award is presented by SAIL, an Indian Steel Manufacturer.
