When you are in Sri Lanka make every effort to purchase a Sapphire of unrivalled quality at an affordable price – a fitting souvenir of your visit to this ‘resplendent isle’. Sri Lanka is a source country for many types of high quality gemstones such as blue sapphires.

Any gemstone bought by a foreign visitor in Sri Lanka can be tested free of charge by the National Gem and Jewellery Authority. You  can also inquire about this service at any licensed jeweler or dealer, who will readily assist you in obtaining this free service at the following places:
