Bonhams California Jewels Sale is scheduled to be held on June 19, 2018, starting at 10.00 PDT, at their 7601 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles Sales Center. A total of 440 Lots will be on offer at the auctions, consisting of an array of jewels including bracelets, brooches, earrings, necklaces, rings etc. set with colored and colorless diamonds, colored gemstones such as emeralds, rubies, sapphires, amethysts, aquamarine, citrine, onyx, peridot, tourmaline, turquoise and yellow sapphires and organic gemstones such as natural and cultured pearls, corals, mother-of-pearl and seed pearls, the metals used being gold, platinum and silver.

Ring size 7 ¼ platinum ring is claw-set with a cut-cornered rectangular step-cut/emerald-cut colorless diamond, weighing approximately 6.40 carats, flanked by a bullet-shaped colorless diamond on its shoulders. The ring is surrounded on either side by an 18k yellow gold jacket.

Ring size 7 ½ platinum ring has as its center piece a bezel-set cut-cornered, rectangular step-cut/ emerald-cut colorless diamond, weighing approximately 3.50 carats, the gallery of the ring crafted in the same octagonal shape as the diamond, and the space between the central diamond and the border of the gallery highlighted by variously cut blue sapphires such as square, rectangular and rhomboidal shapes. The hoop of the ring is also set with two rows of rectangular-cut sapphires, the center of the hoop occupied by a bezel-set band of square-cut and rectangular-cut colorless diamonds, starting from the gallery from either side of the central emerald-cut diamond.

Length 6 ¼ ins (15.9 cm) Art Deco platinum bracelet is of geometric design, has a central navicular-shape motif set with circular-cut diamonds and lined by rectangular-cut blue sapphires, with three other symmetrical geometric motifs on either side, set with circular-cut diamonds, and the motif just before the arms of the bracelet centered around a square-cut blue sapphire and also set with circular-cut diamonds. The border of the central motif is lined on either side by a single row of circular-cut diamonds. The arms of the bracelet are set with pairs of square-shaped motifs set with a large circular-cut diamond in the center. Each arm of the bracelet has 9 such pairs of square-shaped motifs, while the arm on the right has an additional pair on the clasp.  Estimated total weight of diamonds is 3.95 carats and gross weight is approximately 26 grams.

AGL report CS55021, dated May 23, 2013, states the sapphire is a Natural Corundum, a Star Sapphire of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) origin, with no indications of heat enhancement.

AGL report no. 1073140, dated January 29, 2016, states that the Sapphire is natural of Thailand origin, with heat enhancement.

Mason Kay report no.180314-1206, dated March 14, 2018, states that the jadeite is  a natural jadeite jade with no dye or polymer detected  and known in the trade as ‘A’ Jade.

GIA report no. 2161645201, dated October 08, 2014, states that the tourmaline is a Rubellite.

The pendant necklace with an 18 ins (45.7 cm) long white gold link neckchain suspends a pendant composed of a claw-set fancy cushion mixed-cut kunzite of dimensions 32.00 x 26.50 x 16.65 mm from a surmount made of three colored diamonds, a lower bezel-set elongated trapezoid-shaped diamond, a middle collet-set circular-cut colored diamond and an upper collet-set rhomboidal-shaped colored diamond linked to the neckchain from upper two adjacent sides. Estimated total weight of colored diamonds approximately 1.10cts, but the colored diamonds have not been tested for origin of color.

Length 7 ins (17.8 cm) platinum Cartier bracelet, the clasp signed Cartier, designed around the year 1930, consists of 18 segments linked by rings, the year 1930 designed in platinum and set with circular-cut diamonds suspended from the link after the first three segments from the right. A collet-set circular-cut diamond is placed after the 4th segment and three segments after that a puppy designed in platinum and set with circular-cut diamonds is suspended. Two segments after that a second collet-set circular-cut diamond is placed.

Two segments after the collet-set diamond a carved green jade elephant is suspended, followed by another collet-set circular-cut diamond three segments after the jade elephant. A single segment after the collet-set circular-cut diamonds a carved amethyst elephant is suspended. The clasp signed Cartier follows three segments after this.

The 18k gold bracelet of length 7 ins (17.8 cm), signed D.K. Maltin, is designed as a linear series of 9 oval-shaped yellow gold plaques, bezel-set with an oval-shaped cabochon turquoise at the center and the surrounding plaque decorated with floral and other motifs, the edges of the plaque set with pairs of half-moon shaped cabochon turquoise, emeralds and rubies placed at three pairs of opposite cardinal points. The oval-shaped yellow gold plaques are connected together by twisted gold links, suspending a short pendant from the link with four plaques on the left and five plaques on the right. The pendant suspends a carved yellow gold sphere set with cabochon turquoises inside rhomboidal areas of the sphere.

The upper end of the surmount carrying ear fittings is made of yellow gold.   Estimated total weight of diamonds 2.25 carats.

The 14 ins (35.6 cm) choker length, multi-strand necklace is composed of eight strands of natural freshwater pearls, pinkish-white in color, of various shapes such as round, near-round, button-shape, oval and slightly baroque. The front central plaque of symmetrical design is set in the center with an old European-cut diamond, weighing approximately 2.05 carats. The total estimated weight of the other diamonds in the plaque is 8.95 carats. Each of the eight strands in the necklace are connected to the central plaque on either side.
